Catalina Christmas

Catalina Christmas

Hello everyone! As I mentioned a few days ago in a Moana Movie Mandala post, I’m back from a short vacation. My husband and I needed a break from all the hustle, so we went to Catalina Island for christmas. It was awesome. We got to watch a few sunrises and sunsets, eat some delicious foods, take in some lovely scenery, and took several much needed naps.

Craft Store

But just because I went on a brief vacation, doesn’t mean I didn’t get some time to crochet while I was there. I took a few rolls of yarn with me to finish up some christmas gifts that were gonna be a tad late anyway. And then I found it…I found a little craft store on the island!

I totally made his scarf!

It’s tiny but crammed full of sewing, quilting, crochet/knitting, and art supplies. I ended up grabbing a few more rolls of yarn while I was there.

Cool Weather

And since it was a little on the cooler side of things, I had the perfect excuse to make my husband and me a couple pairs of fingerless gloves with the new yarn. I must say, Bernat Value yarn has a lot of variation in their color selection.

Coming Home

After lots of resting and sight-seeing, it was time to come home. Although I still need a few days to recover (because apparently even vacation is hard on people with fibro), I’m back and ready to tackle the new year. And I plan on putting up plenty of new patterns on the Family Craft Studio blog this coming year!
