LGBT Flags Coffee Cozies – Part 2

Pride Month 2016

Hello everyone! With the beginning of this month, Pride Month, I’ve decided to put out the next LGBT+ Pride Coffee Cozy patterns. If you haven’t seen it, I do have a previous post with the Rainbow Pride flags, the Bisexual Pride flag, and the Transgender Pride flags. You can find it here: Pride Flag Cozy Patterns Part 1.

On the etsy shop (here), I do have several of these for sale and as made-to-order LGBT cozy listings. But I definitely want to share the pattern for free here so you can make as many as you want while you celebrate Pride Month.

I will definitely be using mine as often as I can to show support for the LGBT community and for the belief that we all deserve the same rights and protections under the law.

Which Ones?

I know there are several specific pride flags, so I had to narrow down which ones I would be sharing. It’s tough to choose! I found it even tougher to find matching yarns for these. But I made note of the yarns I use for the cozies when I make them. The best thing to do is to buy yarn that you think matches best for you.

For this post I’ll be sharing the lesbian, gay bear, lipstick lesbian, asexual, pansexual, and polysexual pride flag coffee cozy patterns. A quick note though: Some of the colors/yarns I listed below are followed by a question mark (?); this means I couldn’t quite choose which color I liked best for the flag, but feel free to use anything you prefer.

  16. With your black yarn, create a small triangle. (use any pattern you like best, but an easy one is linked to here: Ultimate Crochet Triangle; adjust to your gauge and your cozy.) Using about 1 yard of black yarn on your tapestry needle, stitch the triangle onto your cozy; be sure to point the triangle downward.
  17. Using about 1 to 1 1/2 yards of white yarn, embroider on the double-headed axe. I used chain stitches up the center of the handle. Then I used a series of back stitches to create the blades.
