Mama Gamez’s Garden
A Quiet Place
Good day to all you crafters! Is there a special spot where you like to sit down and work on your crafts, read, or enjoy some alone time? There are a few places for me to do this, usually involving coffee … Okay, always involving coffee. A cafe near my home with some wonderful cappuccino, a vanilla-lavender late, or chocolaty mocha. A quiet spot in a bookstore with piles of literature around me, social science books, fantasy books, short stories! A warm place in my room huddled with blankets and yarn. *sighs* Good times.
One of my favorite places to do my reading, crafting, and resetting is my mom’s garden. Mama Gamez has one green thumb! All year round there are things blooming in that garden. And there is always a nice nook somewhere outside to tuck away and work on my current craft projects. So let me take you on a mini-tour of mom’s garden and her foliage this spring. Get a little crafty inspiration for your next project.
The Front Yard
A little mint plant that grew huge fast (and makes great tea). A bunch of flowers perimeter the garden (and they stink pretty). And a whole lot of green everywhere!
Migrating to the Left
On the side of the house is where mom has the herb garden and plenty of fruit trees.
Mom’s back yard has all the essentials of a playground for all the little cousins and nieces and nephews that come to play at mom’s house. And where there isn’t any playground equipment, there are a whole lot of trees and flowers.
