Movie Mandala – Tiana
Princess and the Frog
Hello everyone! I’m back with another Movie Mandala. Just a few more to go for mom’s Disney Princess mandala blanket to be done. For this crochet mandala I made one of Tiana from Disney’s Princess and the Frog. Mom loved the idea of adding this princess to her blanket, and I quite agree that it was a must. So I grabbed a picture of this princess in her lovely green dress and created a color palette from it.
With all its ups and downs as a film, it was a pleasure to see Tiana go through some tough conflicts with her feisty spirit and some real diligence. I loved her hard-working nature and that drive that pushes her on towards her dream of having her own restaurant. All good princess qualities.
Pattern and Palette
If you’d like to make your own Tiana mandala, I’ll include a link to the pattern below and the color palette I used to select my yarns.
The mandala pattern is from A Creative Being.
For Tiana’s color palette, I went with her lovely green grown and the soft brown of her eyes. If you prefer a different color combination, I would recommend making one from her waitress outfit; personally I like that one better because it reminds me more of her traits of hard work and industriousness.
