Wave Coffee Cozy Pattern

Happy Mothers Day!

Hello to all my crafty artists out there! This past Sunday was Mothers Day and as an extra treat from my usual weekly post I’m adding in this coffee cozy pattern for the awesome holiday. The Waves Coffee Cozy is super easy and fast to make, so you can whip one up for you and your mom in no time. Mom and I went out for a little tea on Sunday and we got to use our cozies too.

A Few Notes

This is a simple pattern, so not many notes are required, but a take a moment to read these before you start, so you know what to expect.

  1. This pattern will be worked in rounds.
  2. Numbers at the end of the instructions: In brackets “[ ]” will be the total stitch count for that row.
  3. How many loops? All single crochet rounds will be worked in both loops of the previous round. All other rounds (with hdc, dc, tr) will be worked into the back loops only (the loop furthest from you) in order to create a small ridge defining each “wave”.

And you now have a crochet Wave Coffee Cozy! As you can see by now, the waves are made out from two rows (one in varied stitches and one in a single crochet row). You can alternate the color of your waves to give the cozy various looks and effects. Don’t forget to leave me any comments or questions below. And pop over to the Family Craft Studio facebook page to share pictures of your work with me. Happy crafting!
